18″Ernst Wahliss Jugendstil Royal Vienna Alexandra Porcelain Enamel Vase

This is a very impressive large jugendstil porcelain vase that was produced in 1905. This elegant piece is quite a statement and is a fine example of Bohemian ceramics with its mottled cream and sand coloured body that has enamel stylised roses and foliage and heavy gilding. This striking piece is in excellent condition and is fully marked for Alexandra Porcelain works Royal Vienna which was formerly the Ernst Wahliss manufactory that was founded in Austria in 1863. Pieces such as this were retailed through the manufactures own outlets in London and Vienna and were renowned for their quality.
