This is a stunning clock of exceptional quality. An eight day platform movement that strikes on the half hour and hours with a very sweet and pleasant ting. The gilded movement dates from 1900 and is engraved ‘made in France’ and with maker ‘Daueree’ underneath. The case dates from 1820 and is of a warm Sienna Marble in cream and sand tones and has the most exceptional chased bronze facade featuring a classical female dancing with butterflies amongst flowers. The gilt bronze is in excellent condition. The bronze engine turned clock face edged with a border of flowers and the facade is bordered with finely executed roses. The feet feature classical gilt bronze masks. This clock is in excellent condition and has been serviced. The gilding is intact with no wear and there are no chips to the marble.
