This is a very well cast Nuremberg lead toy novelty dog figurine. Not to be confused with Austrian or Vienna bronzes these novelties were also polychrome and this one is a rarity as his head nods or trembles when moved. This a good example with more detail than usual pieces and well painted from the late 19th century. Dimensions Height = 7 cm (3″) Width = 8 cm (3″) Depth = 2 cm (1″)
